To foster international exchange and intercultural learning, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) organized the “Living Local × Thinking Global: Cultural Exchange Summer Camp” in August 2025.
The camp welcomed students from the partner universities of MCUT across 11 nations, includ-ing the United States, Peru, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and India, who joined local high school and vocational school students in New Taipei City. Together, they engaged in cultural sharing sessions, interactive presentations, and team-based activities such as the “Cultural Identity Fair,” “International Cultural Games,” “Multicultural Fusion Workshop,” and “Global Food Tour,” etc.
Participants not only introduced traditional festivals, food, and customs from their home coun-tries, but also built lasting friendships and strengthened intercultural communication skills. Local stu-dents expressed their excitement, noting that they “made new friends” and “discovered songs and dances from around the world.”
MCUT emphasized its commitment to nurturing global-minded leaders through summer camps, exchange programs, and international workshops—preparing young people to embrace diversity and engage with the world.
