Co-hosted by Ming Chi University of Technology and the New Taipei City Taishan Arts and Culture Association, the "2025 Artistic Visions of Taishan – Asian International Art Exchange Exhibition" has officially opened. This year’s event features 70 artists from 12 countries, presenting a rich and diverse array of artworks. Marking its 12th edition, the exhibition is being held in New Taipei City for the first time, offering the public a refreshing international artistic experience through cross-border exchange.
The opening ceremony took place at 9:30 AM on April 27 at the Innovation Building of Ming Chi University of Technology. Distinguished guests included New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Liu He-Ran, Taishan District Director Lin Jun-Hong, international artists, and local dignitaries. The venue was imbued with a strong artistic atmosphere, showcasing the power of art to transcend language and national boundaries.
In his speech, Deputy Mayor Liu He-Ran expressed that New Taipei City, with its beautiful natural scenery, rich artistic heritage, and diverse cultural resources, is honored to host the Asian International Art Exchange Exhibition for the first time. He emphasized that this event not only serves as a vital platform for artists to showcase their talents but also as a valuable opportunity to foster international friendship and deepen cross-cultural exchanges. He hopes more international artists will come to New Taipei in the future and wished the exhibition great success.
Wu Pei-Hong, Chairperson of the Taishan Arts and Culture Association, noted that this year’s exhibition brings together artists from across Asia, promoting meaningful exchanges through their works while highlighting the passion and creativity of local calligraphers and painters in the Taishan area. The association will continue its efforts to promote the beauty of Taiwan and the cultural image of Taishan on top-tier artistic platforms across Asia.
President Liu Tsu-Hua of Ming Chi University of Technology added that, in addition to the static exhibition, the event also includes an international artist forum, inviting citizens, students, and faculty to participate enthusiastically. He hopes this will further the development of art education and aesthetic appreciation, while broadening the international outlook of young students. He warmly invites all art lovers to visit the exhibition and experience the charm of international art exchange firsthand.
The “2025 Artistic Visions of Taishan – Asian International Art Exchange Exhibition” will run until mid-May, with both the exhibition and various exchange activities taking place simultaneously. The event promises to be a highlight of the season, and the public is warmly encouraged to participate and witness the moving power of art across borders.
