Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) and the New Taipei City Taishan Art Association are proud to announce their collaboration for the "Legends of the Mountains: Taishan Art Association Member Exhibition," which will be held from October 24 to November 2 at the Ming Chi Art Gallery on the first floor of the Innovation Building.

Promoting arts and culture while fostering community engagement requires long-term commitment. With support from the Ministry of Education's Teaching Excellence Program, Higher Education Sprout Project, and University Social Responsibility (USR) Program, MCUT has made this mission a priority. Beyond organizing cultural activities, the university focuses on integrating Taishan’s local art scene into its societal impact efforts. To achieve this, the General Education Center maintains close ties with local Taishan art groups and artists, encouraging cultural exchange and collaboration.

In addition to promoting local arts, the university aims to broaden students' global perspectives. The General Education Center has previously invited diverse artists, such as Italian missionary Father Giuseppe Didone from Fuxing District, Taoyuan, and Taichung-based artist Yuan Guohao, to engage students with various artistic forms and cultures.

Despite the convenience of modern technology, personal experiences remain irreplaceable. To immerse first-year students in the world of art, this event invites teachers from the Taishan Art Association to guide students in creating ink wash paintings. Through hands-on collaboration with peers from different departments, students collectively produced ten large-scale artworks, which are now part of the exhibition. Their participation not only enriches the exhibition but also plants the seed of artistic courage and creativity within them.

The opening ceremony will be held on October 27 (Sunday) at 10:00 AM in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the Innovation Building. Over 120 distinguished artists and guests from across the country are invited to witness the flourishing development of Taishan’s art scene and to celebrate this cultural milestone together. Let us look forward to this artistic feast, where tradition meets innovation!
