The Chongde Volunteer Service Association held a "Volunteer Service Trip — Waziwei Coastal Cleanup Activity" on October 24th. This event was jointly organized with Chongde Volunteer Service Associations from universities and colleges including Fu Jen Catholic University, Chihlee University of Technology, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, and Chang Gung University. The goal was to increase youth concern for environmental protection and actively participate in cleaning up the coastline.

　　Despite the poor weather on the day, all participating students dedicated themselves to the cleanup work with great enthusiasm. During the event, students from various schools and departments worked together to clear discarded coastal waste, fostering mutual understanding through their interaction. Many students shared their surprise and challenges encountered during their first coastal cleanup experience, such as picking up bottles, plastic waste, lighters, and even encountering unusual items like crabs or animal carcasses. These unique experiences made the process challenging but enriching.

　　Notably, volunteers from overseas also participated and shared their reflections on their first service experience in Taiwan, expressing that they found Taiwan's volunteer service culture refreshing and deeply moving. Students from different schools established positive interactions through the shared mission, and the atmosphere was harmonious, fully demonstrating the cohesion of volunteer service and the value of cross-cultural exchange.

　　The activity was successfully concluded with great teamwork and a pleasant atmosphere. It not only raised students' environmental awareness but also promoted exchange and connection among the volunteer associations of different schools. In the future, the Chongde Volunteer Service Association will continue to promote diverse volunteer services, hoping to attract more young people to dedicate themselves to public welfare and actively safeguard society and the environment.
