MCUT Participates in the 2025 Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Indonesia: Expanding Outreach Across Five Cities

update date : 2025-10-08

From August 9 to 17, 2025, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) participated in the "2025 Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Indonesia," jointly organized by the Indonesian Association of Taiwanese Alumni and the Overseas Joint Admissions Committee. The fair was held in five cities—Jakarta, Bandung, Cirebon, Surabaya, and Medan—attracting thousands of Indonesian students and parents. The event was lively and engaging, providing a valuable opportunity for face-to-face exchanges. Representatives from MCUT’s Office of International Affairs introduced the campus environment, international features, and student support services, drawing significant attention. Key topics of interest for students and parents included English-taught programs, post-graduation employment pathways, religious dietary requirements, and general student support, highlighting the high demand in Indonesia for a “friendly campus” and “international competitiveness.”

MCUT noted that most Indonesian students possess strong English skills, and some have studied basic Chinese. However, many remain concerned about language adaptation and cultural integration after arriving in Taiwan. To support them, MCUT provides pre-departure Chinese courses, a buddy system for international students, and academic advising, helping Indonesian students smoothly adapt to campus life.

Indonesia is an important market for MCUT’s international recruitment. In recent years, many Indonesian students have chosen to study at MCUT, excelling academically and professionally. This education fair not only enhanced MCUT’s visibility in Indonesia but also strengthened collaboration with local educational institutions, laying a solid foundation for attracting more outstanding Indonesian students in the future.

Through the five-city education fair, MCUT showcased its strengths in “industry-academia linkage, international development, and cultural support.” Moving forward, the university will continue to tailor its recruitment strategies to different regions and foster a more inclusive cross-cultural campus environment, creating new educational opportunities together with Indonesian students.
