Ming Chi University of Technology participates in the 2024 Taiwan Higher Education Fair to deepen Taiwan-Philippines educational cooperation

update date : 2024-11-01

To continue promoting educational exchanges with the Philippines and attract more local students to study in Taiwan, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) participated in the 2024 Taiwan Higher Education Fair held in Manila and Davao at the end of September.

Representatives from MCUT attended the exhibition events at the Technological University of the Philippines on September 27 and at the University of the Immaculate Conception on September 30. Through on-site interactions, MCUT representatives not only provided detailed information about the university's unique programs and international cooperation initiatives but also engaged in in-depth discussions with local Philippine educators to explore potential future collaborations.

During the exhibition, MCUT actively showcased its diverse academic resources and international learning environment, drawing attention from both students and professionals in the education sector. The university highlighted its outstanding achievements in engineering technology and innovative research, while emphasizing its efforts in cultivating global talent, which garnered great interest and attention from both Filipino students and academic institutions.

At the exhibition booth, MCUT representatives interacted warmly with students and teachers from the Philippines. Many students expressed a strong interest in studying in Taiwan, particularly in MCUT's educational approach, which balances practical experience and theoretical learning—a complementary advantage to the Philippine education system and one of the highlights of Taiwan-Philippine educational cooperation. This exhibition also provided MCUT with an excellent opportunity to expand its visibility in the Philippines and strengthen its academic ties with local schools.

Dr, Jie-Lan Li, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, emphasized that MCUT is committed to expanding its international presence in Southeast Asia. By leveraging platforms such as educational exhibitions, the university seeks to attract more talented international students to Taiwan for both exchange programs and degree studies, thereby enhancing its global competitiveness.
