Ming Chi University of Technology Strives to Build an International Campus to Expand Students' International Vision

In response to MCUT's efforts to promote internationalization, Professor Chih-Chen Lee of Northern Illinois University (NIU) and Professor Te-Wei Wang of the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) were invited to visit MCUT to share their insights about the following issues: (1) Building an International Campus - The Experience of American Higher Education, and (2) How college students can build international business agility. To expand participation, the event was conducted in a physical and online manner, and teachers from other schools were also welcomed to participate.

On the morning of June 20th, President Thu-Hua Liu, Dean Jin-Kwan Lin, two speakers, teachers of the Department of Business and Management were invited to hold a discussion with IMBA students on how to enhance the mobility of global business. The participants enthusiastically provided suggestions on how to effectively enhance the international mobility of teachers and students of MCUT. In the afternoon, in the Formosa Lecture Hall, Innovation Building, the speakers took "Contemporary Issues in Global Campus Development" as the topic and shared their thoughts on the following subtopics: AACSB Learning Assessment, DBA Program and New Value Creation, and Online Course Management Quality Matters. The teachers were invited to provide valuable suggestions on related topics as a reference for future development.

On June 21st, the main theme of discussion was enhancing international mobility. The speakers were invited to share their experiences of studying in the United States with the students. In addition to that, the two professors also discussed cultural studies, preparations for studying abroad, precautions, and the dual degrees of MCUT and the University of Northern Illinois. After the sharing of the two professors, the students responded enthusiastically, and in response to the questions raised by the students about studying abroad, the two professors also kindly replied to enhance the students' understanding of the dual degrees. According to the study and reflection of the students' worksheets, it showed that many students started to think about the possibility of studying abroad or applying for the program of dual degrees. At the same time, the event significantly motivated students to learn English better to continue to accumulate the required international mobility while facing future competition.
