In recent years, with the continuous changes in the international situation, enhancing the public's crisis response capabilities and disaster prevention awareness has become an important issue. On June 24, 2026, Ming Chi University of Technology, in cooperation with the New Taipei City Government, conducted the "2026 Urban Resilience (Air Defense) Exercise" to enhance the overall air defense response capabilities of the campus and carried out preliminary air raid evacuation drills. Through scenario drills and disaster prevention education, the university helped faculty, staff and students become familiar with air raid evacuation procedures, evacuation actions and the location of evacuation sites, establish correct self-protection concepts, and strengthen the campus's disaster prevention and defense resilience.

During the drill, Ming Chi University of Technology combined disaster prevention education with national defense education. Based on the "National Defense Manual" and the "Campus and Town Resilience (Air Defense) Evacuation and Evacuation Reference Guidelines," the university conducted teaching and drills. After simulating the air raid alarm, the university quickly guided teachers and students to take refuge in the basement or air raid shelter along the predetermined route. They also practiced adopting protective postures such as "low posture, covering eyes, covering ears, mouth slightly open, and chest off the ground." This enabled students to establish correct air defense and evacuation concepts from the time they were in school, so as to reduce the possible damage caused by the blast impact.

In addition to reviewing the campus air raid evacuation routes, refuge spaces, and emergency response mechanisms, this activity also familiarized faculty, staff, and students with various emergency response procedures, enhancing their ability to respond to emergencies. Through repeated drills, disaster prevention knowledge and self-protection concepts were integrated into daily education, building a "prepared and safer" response capability.

Air raid evacuation drills are not only an important part of campus safety education, but also a concrete practice to promote national defense education and resilience among all citizens. In the future, we will continue to integrate various disaster prevention education programs with national defense education, deepen campus safety education, and encourage teachers and students to extend correct disaster prevention and evacuation concepts to their families and communities, jointly building a more resilient and safe city.
