Department of Visual Communication Design 2026 Graduation Exhibition – “回 Day By Day”

update date : 2026-06-26

The Department of Visual Communication Design held its 2026 Graduation Exhibition – First Showcase from April 14 to April 16 at the Plaza on the First Floor of the Innovation Building. Centered on the theme “回 Day By Day,” the exhibition draws inspiration from the concept of everyday repetition. It symbolizes students’ continuous creative practice and determination to move forward, allowing design to circulate, evolve, and regenerate within daily life.

Design is not merely repetition; rather, it is a process of constant deconstruction and reconstruction between reflection and progress. Every accumulation represents growth, and every return reflects an original aspiration. Through the passage of time, creativity continues to emerge and flourish within an endless cycle of renewal.

A total of 12 student projects were showcased in this year’s exhibition, demonstrating diverse themes and creative perspectives. Featured works included “Thoroughly Rock Tea,” which reinterprets the traditional notion of “the thought behind the gift matters more than its value” through a youthful rebranding of rock tea; “Terrazzo Tales,” inspired by Taiwan’s architectural material terrazzo and its emotional and cultural memories; and “Blooming Brilliance,” which transforms the Chinese zodiac into a gateway for exploring Taiwan’s endemic plant species through the metaphor of light. Together, these projects highlighted the students’ creativity, innovation, and design capabilities.

Several participating projects achieved remarkable success, earning nominations for the Golden Pin Design Award – Young Designers’ Exhibition and the 2026 National Competition of Practical Project for Students of Technological and Vocational Colleges. In addition, students received international recognition through awards such as the MUSE Design Awards and the Best Photography Awards, demonstrating the department’s strong educational outcomes and students’ global competitiveness.

Following the successful conclusion of the campus exhibition, the graduating students continued their showcase at the Young Designers’ Exhibition (YODEX), held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from May 22 to May 25. Faculty members, staff, and the public were warmly invited to visit the exhibition and witness the students’ creative achievements. The department also looks forward to seeing its students continue to excel in future competitions and exhibitions.
