2026 FORMOSA International Conference on Industrial Case Studies and Management Innovation Concludes Successfully, Advancing Interdisciplinary Innovation and Sustainable Development
Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) hosted the “2026 FORMOSA International Conference on Industrial Case Studies and Management Innovation” on March 27–28, 2026. The conference brought together scholars and experts from Taiwan and abroad to focus on industrial innovation and sustainable development, fostering deeper integration between academic research and practical applications.
The two-day event attracted 273 and 250 participants respectively. A total of 40 academic papers were presented by scholars from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan, demonstrating strong research capacity and vibrant international academic exchange.
The opening ceremony was delivered by Vice President Cherng-Min Ma, who welcomed distinguished international scholars and guests. The conference featured keynote speeches by three renowned international scholars: Professor Masayuki Suzuki from Chiba University (Japan), Professor Danielle van Jaarsveld from the University of British Columbia (Canada), and Professor Trung Dam-Huy Thai from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). They shared the latest research trends and practical insights, further enhancing the global perspective of the conference.
Under the theme “Interdisciplinary Innovation and a Sustainable Future: Integration of Industry, Smart Technology, and Culture,” the conference addressed critical global challenges such as climate change, rapid technological advancement, and societal transformation. It emphasized the importance of sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in modern business and society.
The conference covered diverse topics, including production, marketing, human resource management, research and development, and financial management, while also extending to three emerging areas: cultural sustainability, financial technology (FinTech), and digital marketing. These themes highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary integration and innovative applications.
Cultural sustainability focused on the preservation of local culture and the extension of corporate social responsibility. FinTech explored innovations in digital finance, blockchain technology, and ESG investment. Digital marketing examined how smart technologies are reshaping customer experiences and market strategies, becoming a key driver of sustainable business development.
In addition, a poster presentation and project competition for high school, vocational, and university students was held on March 28. The event encouraged interdisciplinary thinking and innovation among young participants, inspiring them to propose practical sustainability solutions and showcasing the younger generation’s engagement with sustainability issues.
MCUT stated that the FORMOSA International Conference has long served as a vital platform for academia-industry collaboration. Through international academic dialogue and the sharing of practical experiences, the university continues to promote innovation and sustainable development. In the future, MCUT will further strengthen international partnerships and interdisciplinary integration, working with all sectors to create a sustainable future.
