Cultivating Intercultural Learning and Global Competence: Culture Exchange Night Showcases an Inclusive Campus
To foster deeper cultural understanding and meaningful connections between local and international students, the university hosted the “Culture Exchange Night” on January 30, 2026. The event was attended by the President, the Chair of the Department of Business and Management, and the Director of the IMBA Program, with a total of 127 faculty members and students participating, demonstrating a high level of engagement and vibrant international interaction.
The event brought together students from seven countries—Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Taiwan, France, Switzerland, and Thailand—fully reflecting the university’s diverse and international learning environment. Through cultural performances, traditional costume showcases, international food sharing, and interactive activities, the event created an immersive learning space, enabling students to experience and better understand the values and meanings embedded in different cultures through authentic interaction.
More than a platform for cultural display, the event represented a practice-oriented intercultural learning process. Through active participation and engagement, students deepened their understanding of diversity, cultivated mutual respect, and developed essential competencies in intercultural communication and global awareness. During the exchange, participants shared languages, life experiences, and cultural stories, fostering an inclusive and connected learning community that further strengthened the university’s international atmosphere.
In addition, many students participated in traditional attire and even engaged in cultural costume exchanges, transforming cultural learning from observation into lived experience and demonstrating the depth and warmth of intercultural interaction. The event received highly positive feedback, effectively enhancing intercultural understanding, social connections, and students’ sense of belonging within an international learning environment.
The “Culture Exchange Night” was not only a cultural event, but also a meaningful embodiment of experiential learning. It highlights the university’s commitment to promoting international education and cultivating multicultural competencies.
