MCUT Showcases Green Innovations at The smarter E Europe, Deepening Taiwan-Germany Academic-Industry Ties
The smarter E Europe 2026, the world's largest and most iconic energy industry event, took place from June 23 to 25 at the Munich Exhibition Center in Germany, bringing together energy enterprises, academic experts, and industry leaders from around the globe. Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), in collaboration with member universities of the T5GIP Research Commercialization Platform, participated in the exhibition to showcase its latest technological achievements in energy and AI.
MCUT showcased a diverse range of technologies, including the 'Customized AOI Optical Inspection Platform' by Dr. Meng-Jie You from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the 'AI Power Cloud System' by Dr. Yen-Chen Chen from the Department of Electronic Engineering, and the 'Next-Generation Management Architecture for 104-Series High-Energy Battery Modules' by Dr. Tsun-Kuang Qi from the Department of Electrical Engineering. These technologies cover broad applications and represent active collaborative achievements with industry partners.
Beyond the active exchanges at the exhibition, the team from the Industry Development Center under the Office of Research and Development joined the Taiwanese delegation on a special visit to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria (IHK München), facilitated by the German Trade Office Taipei (GTO). The meeting was hosted by Mr. Hannes Aurbach, who oversees Asia-Pacific operations, where he provided a comprehensive analysis of Bavaria's industrial investment landscape, supply chain clusters, and Munich's thriving startup ecosystem.
Moving forward, MCUT will continue to leverage its strengths as a technology-focused research university, translating the fruitful outcomes of this European visit into actionable momentum. By integrating cross-disciplinary R&D teams, MCUT offers a diverse range of university-industry collaboration models, serving as a powerful pillar for domestic and international enterprises entering global markets to achieve win-win outcomes.
