MCUT Deepens International Exchange and Equality Awareness: Collaborating with Indonesia’s UNDIKSHA to Create the "Immersive Voice" Gender Equality Board Game Workshop

update date : 2026-04-21

In an effort to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and broaden the international cultural horizons of local schoolchildren, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) and its international partner, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA) from Indonesia, have joined forces for a creative event: the "Immersive Voice" Gender Equality Board Game Workshop. This initiative combines gender equality education with gamified learning, transforming equality awareness into a highly interactive pedagogical experience. The core of this workshop lies in "cultural integration" and "practicing equality". The project team noted that existing educational models are often limited to local teachers instructing in Mandarin, which lacks first-hand international cultural perspectives. To address this, the team connected with UNDIKSHA, inviting Indonesian students to collaborate with domestic students in the creative process. Together, the students broke through language barriers, integrating gender equality concepts into concrete activity designs and bringing a more nuanced depth of international exchange to the New Taipei community.

This workshop is more than just a collaboration between campuses; it is a vital component of the "New Taipei Community International Cultural Exchange and English Literacy Enhancement Project". The project’s objectives are clearly aligned with "understanding and respecting multiculturalism" and "improving the English literacy of local students". Furthermore, it is dedicated to practicing SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Through the "Immersive Voice" workshop, the participating organizations have demonstrated the abundant energy of transnational education and local practice. Looking ahead, the project team will continue to integrate resources from international sister schools to inject more diverse, equitable, and global educational energy into grassroots communities, allowing the seeds of respect and equality to flourish in the hearts of schoolchildren.
