update date : 2026-02-10

The Ming Chi University of Technology Alumni Association held its “Alumni Reunion and Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony” on December 13, 2025, bringing together alumni from domestic and overseas chapters for the annual gathering. The venue was filled with a lively atmosphere as graduates from different years connected across generations, demonstrating the deep bonds and unity of the Ming Chi community and further strengthening the ties between the University and its alumni.

The event opened with an energetic dance performance by the MCUT Korean Culture Club, adding youthful vitality to the celebration. Alumni Association Chairman Huang Li-Chung then announced that the Association is actively preparing to establish the “New Taipei Ming Chi University of Technology Alumni Education Foundation.” Through a more structured and sustainable framework, the foundation will support scholarships, research development, public welfare initiatives, and alumni engagement activities, aiming to unite alumni support into a long-term platform for giving back to the University. Alumni were also invited to take part in advancing this initiative.

At the awards ceremony, University President Liu Tzu-Hua personally presented the 11th Distinguished Alumni Awards and certificates of appreciation to alumni who donated over NT$100,000 in 2025. The award recipients have excelled across various industries while continually supporting the University and mentoring younger generations, embodying the Ming Chi spirit of diligence, pragmatism, and gratitude. The University noted that alumni achievements not only bring pride to the institution but also serve as important role models for current students.

The program featured a wide range of performances, including an alumni Chinese flute recital, a Team Taiwan cheerleading performance, student club presentations, and an alumni singing contest, drawing continuous applause and laughter. During breaks, alumni shared updates and life experiences, connecting campus memories with professional journeys and highlighting the value of intergenerational legacy.

The grand finale airline ticket raffle brought the atmosphere to its peak, with enthusiastic alumni donations and sponsorships making the event even more memorable. The Alumni Association stated it will continue to promote alumni engagement and philanthropic initiatives, strengthening the bond with the University and ensuring the enduring legacy of the Ming Chi spirit, while looking forward to gathering again next year to create more cherished memories.
