The Intelligent Vehicle Research and Development Center at Ming Chi University of Technology held the “2025 Intelligent Vehicle Forum—Industry–Government–Academia–Research Collaboration and Forward-Looking Prospects” on November 11, 2025. Presidential Office Senior Ad-visor Mr. Shen Jong-chin was invited to provide guidance and deliver the keynote address. Representatives from industry, government agencies, aca-demia, and research institutions gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on the development trends of intelligent vehicle technologies and Taiwan’s global competitiveness within the supply chain.

　　The forum was organized into morning and afternoon sessions, featuring a program that combined academic rigor with practical industry applications. The morning session was led by Chair Professor Jung-Ho Cheng, Director of the Intelligent Vehicle Research and Development Center at Ming Chi University of Technology. Together with his research team, he presented the Center’s latest R&D achievements in areas such as vehicle electronics inte-gration, complete vehicle testing, battery modules, and battery management system (BMS) testing.

　　A guided tour was also arranged, allowing attending guests to visit several advanced research facilities, including the environmental testing laboratory, vibration testing laboratory, motor performance testing laboratory, com-plete vehicle signal testing laboratory, and the AVL Heavy-Duty Powertrain Testing Laboratory. Through the on-site tour, participants experienced firsthand Ming Chi University of Technology’s forward-looking capabili-ties and innovative achievements in intelligent vehicle R&D, highlighting the university’s strong commitment to and extensive experience in indus-try–academia collaboration.

　　The afternoon session featured a keynote address by Mr. Shen Jong-chin, Senior Advisor to the Presidential Office, entitled “The Global Competi-tiveness of Taiwan’s Resilient Supply Chain.” Drawing on his extensive in-dustry experience and global perspective, Mr. Shen provided an in-depth analysis of Taiwan’s industrial transformation and emerging trends in the global supply chain. He also highlighted key government policy initiatives, including the Five Trusted Industries and the proposed New Top Ten AI In-frastructure Projects.

　　Mr. Shen emphasized that Taiwan should leverage its strong industrial foundation and technological R&D advantages to continuously advance a dual-axis industrial transformation, while actively integrating AI technolo-gies to enhance smart manufacturing and drive green innovation. He noted that these efforts are essential for strengthening supply chain resilience and enhancing Taiwan’s overall competitiveness in the global market.

　　Mr. Shen further illustrated his remarks with several practical examples from the “AI Pilot Production Lines Across Industries” initiative, empha-sizing that collaboration among industry, government, academia, and re-search institutions is a key driving force behind industrial upgrading. He encouraged Ming Chi University of Technology to continue leveraging its technological expertise and educational strengths by integrating innovative AI applications with hands-on engineering training, thereby cultivating in-dustry-ready professionals with strong interdisciplinary skills to support the nation’s industrial development.

　　Ming Chi University of Technology expressed its sincere gratitude to Sen-ior Advisor Mr. Shen Jong-chin for taking the time to visit the campus and provide guidance, bringing valuable policy insights and industry perspec-tives to the forum. As a key hub for advancing vehicle electronics and intel-ligent mobility technologies, the Intelligent Vehicle Research and Devel-opment Center will continue to strengthen collaborations with industry, government, academia, and research partners.
