update date : 2025-06-09

The Center for Reliability Engineering and the Sensor & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), in collaboration with Asansol Engineering College, India, successfully hosted the “2025 Global Conference on Sensors & Artificial Intelligence Learning (SAIL-25)” from April 23 to 27, 2025. The conference concluded successfully, fostering international academic exchange and research collaboration, and injecting new momentum into the fields of sensor technology and artificial intelligence.

The conference welcomed distinguished experts, scholars, and industry representatives from around the world. The organizers were especially honored to welcome Professor Peter A. Lieberzeit from the University of Vienna, Austria, who delivered a keynote speech titled “Highly Defined, Single or Multiple: Molecularly Imprinted Nanoparticles Targeting Biospecies for Sensors and Assays.” His presentation on the latest research in molecularly imprinted nanoparticles for biosensing and detection technologies was met with enthusiastic acclaim from attendees.

The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by MCUT Vice President Professor Cheng-Min Ma, who warmly greeted distinguished guests and scholars from across the globe. The conference also invited eight renowned domestic and international experts to serve as session chairs, leading academic discussions and promoting cross-disciplinary dialogue:

  • Dr. Shih-Hsin Chang (Director of Technology Marketing, CoreTech System Co., Ltd., Taiwan)
  • Professor Kuo-Sung Huang (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore)
  • Dr. Kai Chen (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand)
  • Dr. Chakraborty (SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India)
  • Dr. Roy (University of Delhi, India)
  • Professor Peter A. Lieberzeit (University of Vienna, Austria)
  • Dr. Biswas (SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India)
  • Professor Ghoshi (Jadavpur University, India)

A total of 53 papers were presented at the conference, covering a diverse range of topics including sensor technology, AI applications, data analysis, and computing. A special oral and poster competition for master's and PhD students was also held to encourage young scholars to actively engage in academic research and international exchange. In addition, participants were given the opportunity to visit several of MCUT’s research facilities, including the Organic Electronics Research Center, the Battery Research Center of Green Energy, and the Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies. These tours offered a closer look at the university’s ongoing efforts in frontier technological research and opened up avenues for future collaboration.

The event attracted approximately 100 participants from academia and industry, both domestic and international, showcasing significant achievements in the fields of sensing and artificial intelligence. It also enhanced MCUT’s visibility and influence on the global academic stage, laying a solid foundation for future international research collaborations and technological innovation.
