The 16th Campus Road Running

To embody the spirit of diligence, simplicity, and determination, while preserving traditional features, strengthening students' physical fitness, and enhancing their overall health, the 16th Campus Road Running for the 113th academic year was held on the afternoon of Friday, November 29, 2024. The entire student body was divided into three groups Group A, Group B, and Group C to participate.

On the day of the event, the weather was cool and pleasant. Faculty and staff members were free to choose a group based on their work schedules. This year, 112 faculty and staff participated, an increase of 14 compared to last year’s 98 participants, marking a growth rate of 14%.

Student Participation: Across the three groups, the total number of students was 2,735, with 2,423 participating, resulting in a participation rate of 88.6%. A total of 1,304 students passed, achieving an overall pass rate of 53.8%. The number of participants was comparable to last year, showcasing students’ enthusiasm and active engagement, yielding significant results. In Group A, with a total of 839 students, 720 participated, and 119 were excused, resulting in a participation rate of 85.8%. A total of 552 students met the graduation requirement, with a pass rate of 76.7%, an 11% increase from last year’s 65.7%. In Group B, out of 899 students, 798 participated, and 101 were excused, achieving a participation rate of 88.8%, with 315 students passing and a pass rate of 39.5%. In Group C, out of 997 students, 905 participated, and 92 were excused, achieving a participation rate of 90.8%, with 437 students passing and a pass rate of 48.3%.

Award Distribution by Gender: Among the top 20 finishers in each group, a total of 60 students received awards. The distribution was 38 boys (63%) and 22 girls (37%). Compared to last year, when boys accounted for 45 winners (75%) and girls for 15 (25%), the proportion of female awardees increased by 12%.

Despite the chilly weather, both faculty and students enthusiastically participated, fully immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the event. The activity concluded successfully. We look forward to an even more exciting Yongqing Cup Campus Run next year and eagerly anticipate another grand celebration!
