This year’s Parent-Teacher Orientation Meeting was held in the classrooms assigned to each department. Prior to the event, the Student Affairs and Counseling Section coordinated with the various departments, prepared a digital handbook for the meeting, and announced event information and classroom assignments on the university’s official website under the “New Student Admission Services” portal in the “New Student Parents’ Section.” A registration link was also sent via text message to first-year students, reminding them to encourage their parents to register. During registration, parents could view their assigned class information on the form and access the relevant section of the “New Student Admission Services” portal.

　　On August 30, the New Student Parent-Teacher Orientation Meeting was held with enthusiastic participation from parents. Including faculty members, parents, and staff and student volunteers, a total of 1,114 participants attended the event. On the day of the event, the Student Affairs and Counseling Section set up a service desk on the first floor of the gymnasium to assist parents with questions about entering and navigating the campus and to guide them to their assigned classrooms. Student Affairs and Counseling volunteers and the administrative offices of each department also assisted with administrative tasks. Class advisors and department chairs hosted the orientation sessions. President Liu Tzu-Hua, President Ma Cheng-Min, Vice President Liu Shun-Wei, Secretary-General Chou Chin-Wan, and the Dean of Student Affairs visited the various classrooms to meet and welcome the parents.

　　Through the Parent-Teacher Orientation Meeting, parents learned about the university and the departments’ career development opportunities through presentations by department chairs and class advisors. Parents then had opportunities to communicate with class advisors, learn more about the curriculum and class management, and raise questions and concerns.

　　Following this year’s New Student Parent-Teacher Orientation Meeting, parents and class advisors were invited to complete a satisfaction survey. Overall, parents responded positively, indicating that the orientation meeting helped them better understand the university’s educational plans and development. The overall satisfaction rate reached 97.94%. The university also had an opportunity to listen to parents’ questions and opinions. Through the parent-teacher exchange sessions, the university strengthened communication regarding educational philosophies and goals, while promoting greater understanding and cooperation between the university and parents to achieve positive educational outcomes. Parents also provided suggestions regarding the event and student dining facilities, which may serve as valuable references for future events.
