MCUT Digital Marketing and Design Program Class of 2026 Graduation Exhibition “登Ascend” Participates in Muzha–Maokong Commercial District Industry–Academia Collaboration Presentation
Ming Chi University of Technology’s Bachelor Program in Digital Marketing and Design, Class of 2026 Graduation Exhibition “登Ascend,” recently participated in the on-campus industry–academia collaboration presentation for the Muzha–Maokong Commercial District. Integrating local cultural observation, brand marketing, and creative design, the project showcased students’ ability to apply professional knowledge to local revitalization and commercial district promotion.
Centered around the Muzha–Maokong area, the collaboration involved in-depth field research, interviews with local business owners, and analysis of regional characteristics. Through these efforts, students developed integrated design proposals that combined cultural warmth with strategic marketing approaches, aiming to enhance the overall image and tourism appeal of the Muzha–Maokong Commercial District.
Muzha and Maokong have long been known for their tea culture, hillside scenery, and rich humanistic atmosphere. In recent years, the area has also actively promoted tourism transformation and youth engagement. Under the theme of “Redesigning Local Experiences,” the graduation exhibition team created a wide range of outcomes, including brand visual identity design, social media marketing campaigns, tourism guide content, interactive experience proposals, and cultural merchandise development. By utilizing digital marketing and innovative design methods, the students reinterpreted the unique characteristics of the Muzha–Maokong Commercial District, allowing younger audiences and visitors from outside the region to rediscover its local charm.
To ensure the proposals aligned with real-world needs, the student teams conducted multiple field visits to Muzha and Maokong, documenting the commercial environment and consumer demands while engaging in discussions with local businesses. These exchanges provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by the district in brand management and digital promotion. Through the industry–academia collaboration model, students not only gained practical experience but also learned how to evaluate design value from a market-oriented perspective, strengthening their analytical, problem-solving, and integrated execution skills.
This on-campus presentation not only highlighted the students’ professional learning achievements but also reflected the university’s educational philosophy of promoting interdisciplinary integration and local collaboration. By combining design and marketing, the project injected innovative energy and youthful perspectives into the Muzha–Maokong Commercial District, further contributing to local cultural preservation, sustainable commercial development, and the creation of a vibrant urban cultural exchange space with both tourism appeal and cultural depth.
