No More Getting Lost in Taiwan’s Job Market! Overseas Students’ Job Search Lecture Revealed
On the morning of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Division of Internship and Career Services under our university’s Office of Research and Development hosted the “Job Search Lecture for Overseas Students.”
The lecture featured Mr. Isaac Yong, founder of the Canaan Project, a Malaysian national currently working in Taiwan. Delivered entirely in English, Mr. Yong shared his valuable job-hunting experiences and insights with international students, drawing from his rich practical background and presenting in a clear and engaging manner. He also addressed common challenges that foreign nationals may encounter when seeking employment in Taiwan.
Beyond offering practical advice, the seminar aimed to deepen international students’ understanding of Taiwan’s workplace culture and corporate environment. By enhancing their knowledge of the local job market, the event helped students better prepare for their future careers in Taiwan.
Throughout the session, Mr. Yong’s in-depth sharing provided students with useful information and a foundational grasp of Taiwan’s professional landscape. Many participants seized the opportunity to actively engage with the speaker, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating strong enthusiasm and a proactive attitude toward their career development.
