To honor the selfless contributions of the founder to both the school and society, the university actively encourages faculty and students to participate in volunteer activities. This is aimed at carrying forward the founder's spirit of giving back to society and supporting the underprivileged, allowing more people to experience the warmth and strength of community service. This year, 127 faculty members and students participated in the volunteer service, demonstrating teamwork and enthusiasm. Thanks to everyone's joint efforts, the volunteer service for the 2024 YUNG-CHING WANG RUN successfully concluded.
Notably, more than ten international students joined the volunteer team this year, marking their first experience as volunteers in a Taiwanese charity run. These international students expressed their excitement about Taiwan's unique running culture and, through this experience, gained a deep appreciation for the community spirit and volunteerism in Taiwan.
On the event day, volunteers gathered at 1:30 AM to begin their preparations. This year, the volunteer team successfully simplified the previously long queues and busy processes, greatly improving the efficiency of the entire service workflow. During the event, volunteers skillfully managed the distribution of meal boxes and supplies, and made timely adjustments to ensure that every runner smoothly received their supplies, allowing the entire event to run seamlessly.
In addition, the Ming Chi University Dance Club kicked off the event with a vibrant performance, while the Ming Chi Drum Art Club cheered on runners along the race course, adding energy and passion to the event.
We sincerely thank all the volunteers who contributed to this service. It was your efforts that made this charity run a complete success. We look forward to seeing even more people join the volunteer team next year, continuing the founder's legacy of selfless dedication and bringing a memorable experience to even more participants.
