To continue to implement the promotion of Green University and demonstrate the achievements in environmental protection, social responsibility, sustainable campus, and school governance, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) started its sustainability report in 2022, which has been professionally verified by SGS Taiwan Ltd. and complies with the double international standard requirements of "AA1000 Accountability Principles Standard" and "Global Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI Standards)" to practice the determination of sustainable development and continuous improvement.

Dean of General Affairs, Kuei Meng, mentioned that MCUT has integrated the concept of sustainability into various campus activities and courses through the Green University Promotion Committee, and invited teachers, students, and the community to enhance their awareness of environmental protection through visiting activities. For example, in the recent second-hand market activities, the important issues of resource recycling and waste reduction were promoted with further discussion of how to comprehensively increase the amount of campus resource recycling and implement waste reduction work. In addition, solar panels are installed on the roofs of each building to promote the use of renewable energy and strive to achieve the goal of net zero emissions.

President, Thu - Hua Liu, stated that to expand the school's research and development capabilities, the Board of Trustees invested nearly 2 billion to build a research building that combines intelligent technology in 2020. With sustainability as the foundation and energy saving as the goal, it plans to obtain green building certification after completion. In the future, in addition to continuing to promote various aspects of sustainable campus work, such as campus greenhouse gas inventory and environmental protection, the action plans in the MCUT Middle and Long Range School Development Plan will be linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to fulfill the university's social responsibility.
