The Panasonic Green Life Creative Design Contest, held every two years by the Panasonic Taiwan Corporation, intends to help build intelligent and low-carbon cities in Taiwan. To achieve such goal, the contest encourages students to use their creativity to design and produce eco-friendly commercial products. Students who participate in the contest are expected to be “teenage dreamers,” forming innovative business teams or inter-disciplinary teams to cope with problems for the society.

MCUT students who performed well in this contest included: Yu Xuan Xu (徐語鍹), Shu Hao Zhang (張書豪), Yun An Chen (陳韻安), Wei Qi Lin (林瑋淇), Yi Wen Xu (徐薏雯), and Yu Shan Weng (翁譽珊). They are all fourth-year students in the Department of Industrial Design and collectively they have won the Gold Medal Award, the Bronze Medal Award, and an Excellent Work Award. The students appreciate the professors of the department for their guidance and instructions and the University for offering so many valuable learning resources.
