From June 1 to June 10, the College of Management and Design at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) hosted the "Junior Summer Creative Integration Practice Course and International Workshop on Co-Creating Future Society." Centered on the core theme of "Co-Creating Future Society – SDGs Sustainable Action Proposals," the event addressed key issues such as local revitalization, sustainable design, cultural innovation, and smart living. Through multinational and cross-disciplinary student teams, participants collaborated to formulate innovative solutions with local care and global perspectives.

The workshop brought together approximately 132 faculty members and students, including 43 international students and 6 scholars from 5 prestigious partner universities in Asia: Kyoto University of the Arts (Japan), National Institute of Development Administration (Thailand), Van Lang University (Vietnam), Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Indonesia), and University of Bengkulu (Indonesia). The opening keynote address was delivered by Prof. Shigeki Hattori from Kyoto University of the Arts on "Local Revitalization and SDGs in Japan," setting an inspiring tone for the workshop. MCUT also hosted a welcome dinner on the evening of June 1 to extend a heartfelt welcome to the visiting international faculty.

The curriculum adopted a "Design × Business Management" dual-mentorship system, combining MCUT faculty from the fields of management and design with international scholars to provide cross-disciplinary guidance. During the practical sessions, multinational teams conducted field research and interviews in Taipei Yongkang Commercial District, Dadaocheng, and New Taipei Sanxia, seamlessly integrating design thinking with business logic. Following intensive topic discussions, AI tool integration, prototyping, and presentations, the final competition and award ceremony took place on June 10, showcasing the collective wisdom and practical execution of Asian youth toward a sustainable future.
