Congratulations! Professor Yu-Ching Huang from the Department of Materials Engineering and His Team Recognized by the National Science and Technology Council with the "Future Tech Award."

Competition Overview:

The "Taiwan Innotech Expo" (TIE) brings together innovative research achievements from various government agencies, featuring three main themed pavilions: the "Innovation Pilot Pavilion," the "Future Tech Pavilion," and the "Sustainability Pavilion." The 2024 event will take place at the Taipei World Trade Center from October 17th to 19th. Serving as an international IP hub, TIE showcases Taiwan’s research accomplishments while inviting international organizations to participate.

Among the highlights, the "Future Tech Pavilion" (FUTEX), co-organized by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) with Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, focuses on technological trends expected in the next three to ten years. With the theme of "Global Research Collaboration with Taiwan," the pavilion covers six major technology areas: AIoT smart applications, electronics and optoelectronics, advanced materials and chemical engineering, biotech and pharmaceuticals, net-zero technology, and humanistic technology. The pavilion also includes highly anticipated special sections, such as the "AI Smart Zone" and "Health Taiwan Zone," offering a blend of technical content and engaging presentations to popularize professional knowledge.

To foster innovative energy, the expo will also feature highlight events such as the "Future Tech Award Key Innovations Presentation & Business Matching Conference," "IC Taiwan Grand Challenge," and "GenAI Stars Demo Day," aiming to link cutting-edge technologies with industries. The event will award the "IC Taiwan Grand Challenge," the "Future Tech Award," and the "GenAI Stars Industry Application Selections," encouraging global leading scientific research technologies to converge in Taiwan and connect with industries to create business opportunities.

In addition to the exhibitions of forward-looking technologies and the hosting of internationally recognized awards, the event will also organize a series of international trend forums. Topics will span across quantum technology and sports technology, with distinguished leaders from academia, government, and industry invited to discuss and ignite conversations on the next generation of technological breakthroughs.
