“Ming Chi Sets Sail, Careers Reach New Heights” – Industry Talent Matching at Ming Chi University of Technology
Ming Chi University of Technology, in collaboration with the New Taipei City Government, hosted the 2026 New Taipei × Ming Chi Campus Career Fair on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the first-floor plaza of the university gymnasium. The event brought together 69 companies offering more than 2,100 job openings, spanning industries such as semiconductors, smart manufacturing, logistics and transportation, steel, and technology services. The lively exchanges at the fair highlighted the fruitful results of linking academia with industry.
The event was presided over by President Liu Tsu-Hua of Ming Chi University of Technology, with distinguished guests including Chen Jui-Chia, Director of the New Taipei City Department of Labor, Ye Chien-Neng, Director of the Employment Service Office, and Deputy Director Chen Cheng-Yuan, who jointly witnessed this important moment of collaboration among government, academia, and industry to promote youth employment. A highlight of the fair was the Formosa Automobile Transportation Company’s truck display, which attracted many students eager to learn about real-world industry practices.
President Liu emphasized that Ming Chi University of Technology has long been committed to cultivating talents with both professional expertise and global vision. Through a comprehensive internship system and industry-academia cooperation, students are able to connect with the workplace during their studies. This career fair, co-organized with the New Taipei City Government, not only helps students grasp industry trends but also provides diverse opportunities for career exploration, laying a solid foundation for their future development.
Director Chen Jui-Chia of the Department of Labor noted that in the face of rapid industrial changes and diverse talent demands, the city government continues to support youth employment through campus recruitment, job-matching platforms, and career counseling services. This collaboration with Ming Chi University of Technology aims to integrate local resources with academic strengths, creating a more comprehensive employment support environment and offering young people broader opportunities for growth.
To address the needs of international students, the fair also featured bilingual booth information, along with resume clinics and career counseling services, helping students enhance their job readiness and competitiveness. The enthusiastic participation of students, engaging directly with employers, deepened their understanding of workplace realities.
Ming Chi University of Technology stated that it will continue to strengthen industry-academia cooperation and career counseling mechanisms, building a more complete employment support platform to help students transition smoothly from campus to workplace. The university remains dedicated to its goal of “employment upon graduation,” nurturing high-quality professionals for industry and achieving a win-win outcome of academic learning and practical application.
