Qin-An Guan, a visual communication design major from MCUT, won the first place for her illustration design work in the “Bounty Hunter Illustration Contest” under the guidance of Professor Chao-Ming Yang.

This contest was held by a famous Bounty Hunter website and aimed at recruiting excellent contract illustrators. The contest called for work from illustrators nationwide, encouraged Taiwanese to devote to illustration creation and to care about our society and culture, leveled up the capability of illustration design in Taiwan and expected to cultivate more excellent artists. A total of over 50 art works were competing in this nationwide contest. Only three works were selected by judges and each award-winning illustrator received prize money and award certificate. It was not easy since there was only 6 percent chance of being selected for the contest.

After winning the award, Qin-An said that she was happy to enter this illustration design contest with her professor’s encouragement. Her work was luckily chosen for First Place. In the future, she will continuously enter off-campus competitions to accumulate her design and drawing energy.
