競賽說明：

上銀科技於2004年起委託中國機械工程學會辦理「上銀機械碩士論文獎」(HIWIN THESIS AWARD)，其目的在於鼓勵我國青年學子投入機械工程領域之研發與創新應用，為產業界培養優秀之機械工程人才，為國內機械工程領域碩士級論文最重要的競賽。

獲獎事蹟說明：

Nguyen, Hong-Nguyen以「利用新型彈簧平衡機構於空間重力平衡關節手臂之設計、製造與驗證」的論文，參選「第十四屆上銀機械碩士論文獎」。本參選論文業經初審以及複審二階段，最後在23篇決審論文之口頭報告後，以排名第九，獲得佳作獎以及獎金新台幣壹拾萬元。

獲獎感言：

Nguyen, Hong-Nguyen: I am really happy to get this award, which will motivate me to do new research work and my current job in Vietnam. I am really thankful to my advisors-Prof. Win-Bin Shieh who help me a lot on my thesis and the HIWN Thesis Award competition. Also, I am very appreciate for the scholarship of Master degree on 2 years from Ming Chi University of Technology.
