Residential schooling' and ' part-time practicaltraining ' are two of our longstanding school traditions. To live on campus while studying helps students mold their characteristics and maintain a diligent attitude in daily life. As for working part-time outside the school, it is our objective to help students quickly accumulate practical abilities and gain real-life experiences.

seven research centers including Organic Electronics Research Center, Biochemical Engineering Research Center, Biochemical Technology R&D Center, Battery Research Center of Green Energy, Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies , Biochemical Engineering Research Center, and Research Center for Intelligent Medical Devices are affiliated with Ming Chi University of Technology.

According to the survey by Tamkang University, Ming Chi University of Technology has received high rankings in most categories among technology universities in the 2014 academic reputation ranking of universities nationwide.
Ming Chi University of Technology has been ranked number one by the Evaluation for Colleges of Technology by Taiwan Ministry of Education in 2012. Three colleges, ten departments, eleven graduate schools and the school administrations are all highly ranked, which was unprecedented since the beginning of the MOE evaluation.
